Sailing Heritage
Our mission is to promote and teach the skills needed to sail and restore these traditional wooden boats, both within our Galway community and beyond, ensuring this important part of Irish heritage continues to thrive for future generations.
Established
in 2019
Established in 2019, we are a not-for-profit organisation, with all proceeds reinvested back into the club to support our restoration projects, training programmes, and community sailing events. We’re proud to be an all-inclusive club, open to anyone who shares our passion for sailing and heritage.

To restore as many Galway Hookers as possible, returning them to the water and keeping this unique tradition alive.
Recognised
Irish Sailing Centre
We are a Category One Sailing Club, affiliated with Irish Sailing, and a recognised IS Training Centre, offering accredited courses in both Sailing and Powerboating.
