This practical and immersive course covers everything from the history and restoration of Galway Hookers to rigging, seamanship, and navigation. You’ll gain the essential skills to become part of a sailing crew while exploring the rich maritime heritage of these iconic boats.

What You’ll Learn
This course blends theory and practical experience, culminating in an on-the-water session aboard a motorboat.

Note: The first session is classroom-based. Please dress for outdoor activities. Further guidance will be provided for subsequent sessions.

restoration, training, and community projects.
