We are dedicated to keeping the tradition alive and inspiring the next generation of sailors to choose these wooden traditional crafts over newer, faster vessels. Our youth programme, aimed at 18 to 25-year-olds, provides hands-on learning, teamwork, and exciting on-the-water experiences, ensuring that sailing the Galway Hooker remains engaging and fun for young sailors.
Youth Scholarship
Programme
We also offer a Youth Scholarship Programme, allowing supporters to donate the gift of a Hooker Skills course to someone who may not have the means to attend. As an inclusive and diverse club, we work hard to welcome anyone who wishes to be part of our crew. Your financial support helps us continue to achieve this mission.
