Hooker Skills Course

This practical course caters for the novice with a love of adventure & general interest in boating, to the seasoned sailor who wishes to refresh their knowledge and learn more about Galway’s traditional sail/workboats.

Anyone can complete this course and is the stepping stone to becoming a member of our Galway Hooker Sailing Club as it will teach the skills you need to be part of a sailing crew, as well as covering the unique maritime history of these exceptionally beautiful traditional sailboats.
